The final group stage matches of the men’s division of group B were played last night. The first match was played between POLYTECHNIC and FEST with FEST winning the match with a score of 3-0. The man of the match was Tholaal Naseer (J9) from FEST.

The second match was also from group B which were between FHTS and CLIQUE college. CLIQUE college wins the match with a score of 1-0. The man of the match was Jaavidh Aleem (J11) from CLIQUE college, he was also the one who scored for his team.

Clique College won the group with 9 points while the runners-up of the group were FEST with 6 points. Last two year’s runners-up FHTS was knocked out from the tournament alongside Polytechnic.

Group B teams are to play group D teams in Quarter finals. CLIQUE college’s team will play against the second team of group D, FHS. FEST will be playing against the second team of group D, MNUBS.

MNUSU Futsal Fiesta is the biggest sport event of Maldivian higher education sector. This tournament is organized by Maldives National University Students’ Union (MNUSU). This is the 7^th edition of MNUSU Futsal Fiesta. The first ever edition was held in 2013 and from then on, the tournament was held, without a break, each year. Last year’s edition introduced women’s trophy of the tournament, where Clique College claimed the first ever women’s trophy of the tournament. MAPS College took the men’s deviant after defeating Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies who ended up as the runner- up for the second running year.

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) is the main and title sponsor of MWSC MNUSU Futsal Fiesta 2019. Printing partner of the tournament is M7. The tournament is further supported by Youth Sports and Community Empowerment, Dhiraagu and Visit Laamu while PSM Sports is the official media partner of the tournament.
