The semi- finals of MWSC MNUSU Futsal Fiesta 2019 were held last night. From the semi- finals, Faculty of Education (FE) of Maldives National University (MNU) and MI College advanced to the finals.

The first round of women’s division was played by FE and CYRYX College. FE won the tight match with a score of 2-1. The Queen of the match was Khathima Yoosuf (J9) of FE.

The last round of the entire semi- final was played by MI College and Villa College. The match was honored by the Chief Guests MNU’s Dean of Students Ms. Naadhiya Ahmed and Ms. Fathimath Shougee. MI College won the match with a score of 3-1. The Queen of the match was Aminath Shamila (J6) of MI College who scored two goals for the team.

FE and MI College will compete against each other under the women’s division at the finals. The finals will be held today at 15: 45 in Ekuveni Dhandu.

MNUSU Futsal Fiesta is the biggest sport event of Maldivian higher education sector. This tournament is organized by Maldives National University Students’ Union (MNUSU). This is the 7^th edition of MNUSU Futsal Fiesta. The first ever edition was held in 2013 and from then on, the tournament was held, without a break, each year. Last year’s edition introduced women’s trophy of the tournament, where Clique College claimed the first ever women’s trophy of the tournament. MAPS College took the men’s deviant after defeating Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies who ended up as the runner- up for the second running year.

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) is the main and title sponsor of MWSC MNUSU Futsal Fiesta 2019. Printing partner of the tournament is M7. The tournament is further supported by Youth Sports and Community Empowerment, Dhiraagu and Visit Laamu while PSM Sports is the official media partner of the tournament.
