MNUBS and CYRYX College won the third day group matches of the MWSC MNUSU Futsal Fiesta 2019. A total of four matches were played in the first half of the third day group matches.

The first women’s division match was between MAPS and SN of Group B. The match ended with neither of the teams scoring a goal. The Queen of the match was Rasha Riza (J6) of SN.

The next women’s division match was between MNUBS and AVID College of Group C. The match finished with both the teams scoring one goal each. The Queen of the match was Nadhuha Ahmed (J1) of MNUBS.

The first men’s division match was between MNUBS and FHS of Group D. MNUBS was the most successful team of Futsal Fiesta as they were the winners of men’s division in the years 2013, 2014 and 2016. MNUBS won the match with a huge difference in scores, that is, 7-0. The Man of the match was Ahmed Riyushan (J8) of MNUBS.

The next men’s division match was between MI College and CYRYX College of Group A.  MI College was the champion of 2017 and CYRYX College was the runner up of 2016.  The winner of the match was CYRYX College and they won the match with a minor difference in score, that is, 4-2. The Man of the match was Ahmed Makhdhoom (J6) of CYRYX College.

MNUSU Futsal Fiesta is the biggest sport event of Maldivian higher education sector. This tournament is organized by Maldives National University Students’ Union (MNUSU). This is the 7^th edition of MNUSU Futsal Fiesta. The first ever edition was held in 2013 and from then on, the tournament was held, without a break, each year. Last year’s edition introduced women’s trophy of the tournament, where Clique College claimed the first ever women’s trophy of the tournament. MAPS College took the men’s deviant after defeating Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies who ended up as the runner- up for the second running year.

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) is the main and title sponsor of MWSC MNUSU Futsal Fiesta 2019. Printing partner of the tournament is M7. The tournament is further supported by Youth Sports and Community Empowerment, Dhiraagu and Visit Laamu while PSM Sports is the official media partner of the tournament.
