The winners of MNUSU Wings by-election 1 – 2018 receives their certificate of appointment to their respective posts in a ceremony held on Tuesday, 05 June. The ceremony was honored by Deputy Vice Chancellor Ms. Aishath Shaheen and Dean of Students Ms. Nadhiya Ahmed. Furthermore, President of MNUSU and members of the executive committee of MNUSU participated in the ceremony which was held at 1300hrs in MNU A’ block 4^th floor conference hall.

The briefing of the ceremony was given by MNUSU Vice President (Wings) Ali Shamoon while the certificates were handed over by Deputy Vice Chancellor Ms. Aishath Shaheen. The President post of the wing of MNUSU at Faculty of Arts, SIA, was won by Ahmed Sunoon, former Vice President (Activity) of SIA. The vacant position for Vice President (Activity) was won by Ahmed Shaffaz. Wing of MNUSU at MNU Business School, Business School Students’ Association (BSSA)’s Vice President (Activity) post was won by Aminath Shaanee. The President post of the wing of MNUSU at Centre for Foundation Studies, THARAHA, was won by Aishath Layaal Ahmed, former Secretary of THARAHA. The vacant position for Secretary was won by Aishath Eefa Ibrahim while the Media coordinator position of THARAHA was secured by Abdulla Athoof Athif.

Deputy Vice Chancellor, speaking at the ceremony, remarked on the importance of wings of MNUSU and the role they play in strengthening the students of their respective faculty. She advised on including the students, who hold no positions in wings, in the activities organized. In addition, Dean of Students thanked the hard work of the wing members and claimed that she expects the same from the students who won the positions today. President of MNUSU Arushad stated that teamwork is the key to the success of the works of wings in his speech given at the end of ceremony.
