The group stage matches were held last night. Villa College and MI College won the matches of the second round in women’s division. MBS and AVID College won the matches of the second round in men’s division.

The first women’s division match was between MNUBS and MI College. MI College won the match with a score of 4-1. The Queen of the match was Aminath Shamila (J6) of MI College.

The next women’s division match was between Villa College and FE. Villa College won the match with a score of 4-1. The Queen of the match was Aishath Eman Ahmed Zaeem (J7) of Villa College.

The first men’s division match was between AVID College and FLIS. AVID College won the match with a major difference in scores, that is, 9-0. The Man of the match was Riham Abdul Ghanee (J9) of AVID College.

The next men’s division match was a derby of Business schools.  The match was between MBS and MNUBS. MNUBS was the most successful team of Futsal Fiesta as they were the winners of men’s division in the years 2013, 2014 and 2016. The winner of the match was MBS and they won the match with a score of 2-1. The Man of the match was Ali Shiyah (J12) of MBS.

MNUSU Futsal Fiesta is the biggest sport event of Maldivian higher education sector. This tournament is organized by Maldives National University Students’ Union (MNUSU). This is the 7^th edition of MNUSU Futsal Fiesta. The first ever edition was held in 2013 and from then on, the tournament was held, without a break, each year. Last year’s edition introduced women’s trophy of the tournament, where Clique College claimed the first ever women’s trophy of the tournament. MAPS College took the men’s deviant after defeating Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies who ended up as the runner- up for the second running year.

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) is the main and title sponsor of MWSC MNUSU Futsal Fiesta 2019. Printing partner of the tournament is M7. The tournament is further supported by Youth Sports and Community Empowerment, Dhiraagu and Visit Laamu while PSM Sports is the official media partner of the tournament.
