The wing of MNUSU (Maldives National University Students’ Union) at Centre for Foundation Studies, THARAHA, has partook in the fifth meeting of the “Meeting of Wings”.

During the meeting

5 members of the executive committee of THARAHA (only Media Coordinator did not) and 5 members of MNUSU executive committee (President, Vice President (Wings), Vice President (Academic), Treasurer and Media Coordinator) joined the meeting held on Thursday Night, 05^th of April. The briefing of the meeting was given by the President of MNUSU Mr. Arushad Ashraf. During the meeting Vice President (Wings) of MNUSU Mr. Ali Shamoon said that he hopes THARAHA will execute an activity of their own in the near future. He also reiterated that Union will always be ready for any help required. Vice President (Academic) of MNUSU Mr. Adam Rushdhee highlighted on the importance of academic activities that the wing should implement. In addition, Treasurer of MNUSU Mr. Abdulla Shahuneez said that all help required regarding any financial transactions and budget reports will always be provided. Media Coordinator of MNUSU Mr. Mohamed Shaan Amir stated that all social media platforms of THARAHA must be activated to a higher level. He further noted on the significance of covering the news of any activity that the wing executes from all the media platforms.

“Try to chip in the faculty members in holding out activities. Help each other out in difficult times, and I hope that this wing will hold an activity as soon as possible.”

During the meeting

All members present in the meeting from THARAHA executive committee also addressed in the meeting. President Ms. Aishath Nubla said that they are always trying to hold out an activity. Vice President (Academic) Ms. Fathimath Raina Amjad stated that they always plan activities but unfortunately have not reached the execution stage yet. Vice President (Activity) Ms. Mariyam Ifhama Yoosuf highlighted on some of the planned activities while Treasurer Ms. Fathmath Ziyan Zaki said that they need help from MNUSU to conduct their activities.

“We have planned a lot of activities though we have not reached execution yet. In the near future, we shall conduct an activity with the grace of God!”

During the meeting

The meeting which went on for around 45 minutes was held in the office of MNUSU. This series of meetings are held after this decision was taken among the executive committee of MNUSU. While the fifth meeting has been held with THARAHA, the meetings of Sia, FESA, Healers and SHATS have been held in the past.
